Acrylic nails?

Im a lifeguard at my local pool. I got acrylic nails today for my prom which is in 1 week. I go in the pool about 3 times a week. DO you think the chlorine will damage or affect the acrylic nails in any way? i want them to stay perfect for promAcrylic nails?
You probably should have waited til the day before or even the day of prom to get your nails done, the chlorine might damage them, it will defintely take some of the shine away. Also you would be suprised at how fast your nails grow, they are not going to look the same as the day you got them

I would suggest going over them with a clear coat of nail polish the day of prom to shine them up

I DO MY OWN ACRYLIC NAILS %26amp; WHILE I AM NOT SO SURE ABOUT WHAT EFFECTS THE ';CHLORINE'; CAN HAVE ON EM...[THOUGH I DOUBT THERE WILL BE A PROBLEM?]...I DO KNOW FOR A FACT THAT THE ';WATER'; ALONE HAS IT'S OWN ISSUES.


[WATER CAUSES EM TO LIFT RESULTING IN WATER GETTING UNDER THE NAILS, THUS, CAUSING ';NAIL FUNGUS';, TO WHICH THERE IS A LIQUID THAT WILL CURE THAT...QUICK. :D]





I DO WISH YOU WOULD HAVE ASKED THIS QUESTION ';BEFORE'; YOU GOT EM DONE...CAUSE I WOULD HAVE RECOMMENDED GETTING EM DONE A DAY OR SO BEFORE THE PROM, BUT, THATS WATER UNDER THE BRIDGE. LOLOLOL


JUST TRY TO PREVENT EXCESS WATER (AT HOME, SHOWER, DISHES, ETC...) FROM GETTING ON EM...MORE THAN NECESSARY. I KNOW WHILE YOUR AT WORK, YOU CAN'T HELP THE WATER. :D

It'll keep them clean but if you stay in too long it will eat away at the acrylic lol The polish can chip easily though so be careful with everything you do. Good luck!
I have had acrylic nails in a pool..and it was just fine. You can always go back to the nail place to get them fixed if something should majorley go wrong with them.
I dont think so.....if it does go back to the nail place and they will fix them dont worry it also shouldn't be that expensive. (have fun at your prom!!!!!)
It will not bother them as long as you are not in the water for too long of a time. And make sure to dry your hads well after they get wet from swimming
theyll be fine, if not just get them filled it is not as much as the initial cost of the nails at first.
