Acrylic nails! Are they a do or a DON'T!?

tacky or cute? I don't mean long claws I mean the short sporty looking french tips!Acrylic nails! Are they a do or a DON'T!?
Acrylic are fine.


But like you say....


short and cute.


The longer they are the more creepy


and disgusting.





When I see a woman with nails so long and clawlike


all curled up and creepy looking that they cannot


put their make-up on very well, or do their hair so it


looks nice and they have to use a pair of pliers to


zip up their pants with because their nails are in the


way..........


well, all I can visualize is the fact that they also cannot


possibly wipe themselves effectively after using the


toilet without causing personal physical unjury.....


and ew.....


you just know they are not 'clean' people.





And that is so far beyond 'tacky', I'm not sure I can


come up with an appropriate term strong enough.

the short square ones are cute, i have them on right now. Its funny when you get fake nails you like want your hands exposed to everyone, cuz they look so good!!! its just tacky when they start to fall off!!! when one is becoming loose you have to buy a solution at your local drugstore and dip your nails in there till they dissolve off! If you do your own acrylic nails expect them to last 2 -3 weeks. max. I got them done professionally once, and it lasted for months!! theres also a lot of base colours for nails to consider, i highly recommend staying away from the pink under toned ones (tacky) and buff looks really good. i just love them. i have been wearing them for years. they stopped me from biting my nails. and i only have to have them done once a month. but your hands will just look beautiful. you can have them done at one of these asian salons. they really do a beautiful job and the price is right. just make sure you go to a pro.
i had them and do still get them they cute dont get mega long ones through nor to short that tacky get middle lenth if u go into the shop and tell them its your first time they should give you a nice lenth or just say can i have a middle lenth please xx

well there are pros and cons to having fake nails. I have had mine for 3 years, and they always make my look whatever it is polished. But nails can be expensive you must fill in your nails every two weeks, which can get expensive. They also make your nail beds really weak. When I remove my nails my hands hurt like hell and I can't tolerate anything even bumping my nails.


If you can deal with those cons then I say get them
I GET THESE ALL OF THE TIME. THEY LOOK GREAT WITH WHITE FRENCH TIPS AND AIRBRUSHED FLOWERS ON YOUR THUMBS WITH A DIAMOND IN THE CENTER. WHEN REMOVING THE NAIL HAVE THE SALON DO IT BECAUSE THEY WILL DO IT CORRECTLY. AT HOME APPLY A COAT OF NAIL STRENGTHNER/HARD AS NAILS TWICE A DAY BECAUSE YOUR NAILS WILL BE THIN AND BRITTLE. AFTER ABOUT A WEEK OR TWO YOU WILL SEE YOURS NAILS STRONGER AND GROWING.

I got fake nails pu ton one time, and I accidentally hit my thumb nail, my whole thumb was black and purple for almost 2 months. They are really bad for your real nails, they make them really brittle.


Just let your nails grow out them get the french manicure on your real nails. That's what I'm doing now :)
If you wear acrylic a lot, you can get a fungus under your nails. They get so ugly. It took me ages to grow them out and get them healthy again, so I just go with clean, well-groomed nails now. Each night I use a cuticle cream and keep them moisturized. That's it.
I think they are kind of cute, but I got them once and my nails wouldn't grow back correctly for a long time. So unless you want them for a really long time I would not do it. I probably won't ever get them done again.
a dont I hate acrylic nails. Natural looking is best! Just take care of ur nails and they will look fabulous!!! When ppl get acrylic nails it just shows laziness b/c they dont wanna take care of their nails and spend time on them.
Sure fake nails are look good, but they ruin your real nails underneath. I grow out my real nails and get them painted at the salon. The polish they use is very hard and last a long time.
They are a DON'T! Unless you want to ruin your nail beds permanently or have ridges on your nails forever. I would suggest natural nails or getting gels instead ...they do less damage
too cute! I like them better because they are more durable and I think the color last longer or in your case the french tips.

Unless your nails are disgusting, just take good care of them and don't get fake nails. Natural is the best.
