Risks of acrylic nails?

i'd really love to get acrylic or gel nails, but i've heard so many horror stories about women who've gotten infections, or whose nails got weak and didn't grow much whenever they took the acrylics off.

i definitely don't want to be dependent on acrylic nails for the rest of my life... are the stories true?

and what's the safest way to get acrylics?Risks of acrylic nails?
I've been wearing acrylics since late July. I have found no risk in them. And, contrary to peoples beliefs, it doesnt hurt the least bit should they pop off. It does take a while to get used to wearing them, if you are a nail biter or something like I was, but you do get used to it.

The safest way to get it done is by a professional- make the appointment after you've gone and seen them just to look at the work they've done and to make sure they know what they're doing.

You wont be dependent on them for the rest of your life - just simply have them taken off when you no longer want them. It takes around 30 min or so.

The nails (real nails) will be slightly weak because when you gt the acrylics put on, the have to clip and sand down your nails.

I've never gotten an infection, and my nails grow a lot. You have to get them filled every two weeks, which doesnt take too long.Risks of acrylic nails?
The safest way to get acrylics is to see a professional nail technician, I would recommend you ring a Nail Product supplier like Ezflow, CND, OPI, NSI etc and ask them to recommend a tech in your area.
