I get pink and white gel acrylic. I wouldn't recommend it if you already have weak nails. Simply because they sand them with a dremel tool, and it removes layers. A person with weak nails, will then have to keep going in to have nails, because after the sanding, they are weakened even more. Fingernails are dead skin cells. What is the condition of the skin on your hands? Can you see lines? You may need more water, or milk in your diet. The healthier you are in your eating habits, the healthier you hair and nails will be. Try an increase in water and milk, and buy a good antioxidant multivitamin(ACDE can be purchased at Walgreens, in a gel tablet form). Also, Try Sally Hansen's Hard As Nails in the sheer pink. I have found it to be one of the best products to use when trying to grow out weak or brittle nails.

the only thing is youre gonna have to KEEP getting them cause once they come off, youre nails will be in worse off shape..

Yes, definatly i bite my nails and they are also very thin and acrylics are great........but some advice is go to a solon and not a chop shop like TOP NAILS they do a much better job and also take breaks from the nails every like every 3 months cause acrylics can perminently ruin your nails!!!!!!
well if you have weak nails it may not be a good idea, they actually sand off most of your nails to do them and taking them off damages your real nails even more.. you cannot just take them off you have to basically soak your fingers in acetone.
Not if your nails are already weak. There's stuff you can get that you paint on your nails just like nail polish and it strengthens your nails. I think there is also one that makes your nails grow faster aswell.

DONT get acrylic....someone told me it has acid in it and eats your nail away making it even thinner! if you want fake nails get gel...they are good and worth it...

They aren't as strong as acrylic nails, but they are more flexible and that means less chance of breaking them - if that makes sense to you? Gel nails also have a great high gloss shine to them that lasts long enough so that they are still shiny when you go for a fill. UV gels come in many different colors so there are plenty of options available as long as you go to a good tech. The cheaper salons usually don't have good techs working for them, nor do they use good products and their color choices are very limited too. Best to find a good salon with experiences, and skilled techs that use top quality products. Also, I find they don't lift the way acrylics do either, and that's a good thing! The only downside to them I can think of is they cost more than acrylic nails, but I think it's worth the extra money that you pay for a good set of UV gel nails. I hope this helps!Which is better? For something that I'll have 24 hours a day for several weeks, I'd rather have it done well and pay extra for it.

I did my own acrylic nails with Kiss brand products that I bought at walmart, the tips look surprisingly good since this was my first time doing it. My question is, when I look at them there are tiny bubbles IN the acrylic and some cracks, I used clear acrylic. Is this becuase I did a worse job then I think I did applying the acrylic, or just becuase its the cheap stuff??At home acrylic nails?

Glue on nails and put polish on them or apply french tips to them yourself. There's alot on the market but i use fantasy. They are great and don't wreck your nails underneath. Hope this helped.

Acrylic nails are a really great way to enhance your nails, plus they are very low maintenance aside from the visit to your salon/best friend's house every 2 weeks for a fill. If you want the lowest-fuss option, get a french manicure style done with the white tips - they look very classy and will accentuate any outfit you wear them with.
Be sure you want to do it though, because it is an investment, and if you only do it for the day and then take them off, that's a lot of money down the drain. They say everything in life is an experiment, so nothing ventued, nothing gained.I want acrylic nails but....?

the only possible way that i would look bad is if idk you bite them and screw them up which odds are wont happen.. or if you pick something that is completely opposite of what you wear.
most of the time french manicures work best since its cute, simple and goes with pretty much anything.
